Domino’s the popular pizza maker completed its first drone delivery in New Zealand, in 2016 and the world’s first two pizzas to have been delivered by drone are Peri Peri Chicken Pizza, and Chicken and Cranberry Pizza, which arrived at destination at 11:19am, needless to say to a very happy customer who probably received the hottest ever delivery pizza.
Now, will your Domino’s pizza arrive by drone? Probably not. Not yet. But you should go ahead and order anyway because you will still get it within a decent delivery target. After all, it’s their pledged promise.

But if you want to save some pizza money, maybe choose pick up. It’s a free service. Let’s see what else is free at Domino’s New Zealand, or at least cheaper.
- Signing up with the VIP Club
No one actually charges customers to sign up for newsletters, because if they did, no one would. But with some businesses it’s really worth signing up to receive news, especially if you’re not someone who enjoys looking up deals.
Subscribing to Domino’s VIP Club is the best way to have all their offers sent straight to your inbox so you can access them on the go, whenever. You’ll need to provide an email address, your full name, local store, and postcode.
- Receiving VIP deals via SMS
Another option to VIP deals is receiving them via text message. When you go online to Domino’s to subscribe for their VIP offers, notice you can write your mobile number in the registration form. Many nowadays prefer SMS to email because it’s easier to access and more straightforward.
- Cheaper pizza on international days
For International Hot & Spicy Day Domino’s New Zealand had Chili Pork pizza sold from as low as $5 at select stores. This happens all the time with Domino’s restaurants. They make sure no food day goes unnoticed if they can help it.
- Pizza bundles with promo code
If you’re not yet following Domino’s on social media, go to their Facebook page for a change of mind. They post deals there, including online and Facebook exclusive. Recently they had three pizzas and 1.5L drink plus garlic bread at $29.99 only.
